Blackberry and black cherry aromas are enveloped with vanilla and wood spice. Dusty cocoa powder lingers on and on. Flavors of red and black berries mingle with oak spice and chocolate. Rich, smooth and full-bodied with refined tannins and a big, juicy finish.

2009 was a great year for cabernet sauvignon: a long, cool summer with a few late showers that had little effect other than to wash the dust off the leaves. This vintage is marked by intense fruit flavors, fabulous extraction and deep color.
Cabernet sauvignon from our Chalk Hill source defines this blend. We added a healthy amount of petit verdot (12%) and syrah (9%) to lengthen the flavors and add depth and concentration.
